Job Description

The Microsoft 365 Developer will participate in the design, development, customization and integration efforts of enterprise solutions involving the M365 services stack: Modern SharePoint, SharePoint Framework/SPFx, Graph API, Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, and Microsoft Viva. The Microsoft 365 Developer will also contribute subject matter expertise and provide mentorship Micand training to clients and firm members.

    • Strong ability to assist clients with business requirements for their SharePoint and Microsoft 365-based solutions and create the appropriate information architecture, taxonomy and solution approach
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of business both verbally and in writing
    • Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives
    • Knowledge of sound business practices and a proven track record of exceeding customer expectations and anticipating their needs are also required
    • Ability to lead complete software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, configuring, programming and unit testing for information worker applications based on Microsoft technologies
    • Experience producing end-user and technical documentation
    • Ability to work independently with users and executives to expand the use of Microsoft 365 to address business issues
    • Can help others in the organization with Microsoft 365 knowledge at a level of understanding appropriate to their job function
    • Proper technology selection to deliver greatest business value
  • Technical Skills
    • The ideal Microsoft 365 Developer candidate possesses a minimum of 2+ years Office 365/Microsoft 365 platform development
    • SharePoint Platform
        • SharePoint Framework, GraphAPI, authentication methods, REST API
        • Experience building SharePoint client-side web parts
        • Experience with SharePoint development environment/tools: GitHub, NodeJS, Yeoman, React, SharePoint generator, gulp, Fiddler, PowerShell
    • Power Platform
        • Develop Power Apps canvas and component-based, model driven apps
        • Build Enterprise-level mobile solutions, utilizing best practices within Power Platform Community
        • Use multiple OOTB Connectors with Power Apps and Power Automate, and where required, create custom connectors for Power Apps and Power Automate
        • Re-write and re-engineer custom legacy applications to Power Apps solutions
        • Adept at leveraging new approaches to solutions for system design and functionality
        • Interpret and design database models (MYSQL, SQL Server, etc.)
        • Address and remediate security vulnerability findings in Power Apps
        • Leverage Power Apps performance assessment and testing tools to ensure quality
        • Integrate Power BI Reports and dashboards into Power Apps
        • Satisfy requirements, meet agreed completion dates, and perform unit & integration testing
        • Communicate proposed designs and progress on the work to customers, team leads, and team members
        • Support cross-functional project teams consisting of app development, IT operations, and information security
        • Knowledge of Power Apps and Power Automate licensing plans and features included in different plans
        • Understanding PowerApps formulas and development methods to develop canvas and model driven apps
        • Understanding of how to implement solutions with multiple data sources
        • Knowledgeable in installing and configuring data gateways
    • Dev Ops
        • Familiarity and experience working in a team development environment using the Azure Dev Op environment
    • Azure
        • Experience working with Azure Active Directory – configuration, security, groups
        • Understanding and experience with the app registration process and security tokens

 

Education and Experience

    • Bachelor of Science in Business or Computer Science or related field (preferred)
    • Training and/or certification for PowerApps Professional or PowerApps Developer
    • Training and/or certification for Microsoft Power Automate
    • Training and/or certification for Microsoft Azure
    • Experience developing canvas and model driven PowerApps
    • Experience with premium connectors, e.g. Dataverse
    • Experience developing solutions that span multiple Office365 services (e.g., SharePoint, Outlook, Graph API, One Note, One Drive, etc.)
    • Experience with PowerApps integration with Azure API Apps, Azure Logic apps, Azure Functions and REST services
    • Experience migrating business processes (InfoPath forms and SharePoint Designer workflows) to Power Apps and Power Automate
    • SQL experience ideal
    • Some knowledge/exposure to Microsoft Viva
    • Prior consulting experience ideal
