Position Summary:

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple projects across all Covenants’ divisions/solution areas: Modern Work, Infrastructure, Security, Digital App and Innovation, Data Analytics, Business Applications and Managed Services. Additionally, this role will include requirements elicitation and management responsibilities in support of the quality objectives of each project. This role requires exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work independently. This person is self-motivated and has a desire to learn new and market leading technologies and techniques.
The work location for this role is flexible if approved by Covenant except this position may not be performed remotely from Colorado and California.
Responsibilities:
- Leads and Manages technology implementation and business transformation projects.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to the client and other members of the team.
- Possesses a professional, dependable attitude that is oriented towards finding and keeping clients, with a cooperative and positive spirit in working with other team members.
- Provides a high level of client satisfaction which exceeds standard levels of performance.
- Manages the completion of project work within the estimated timeframe while accurately fitting the client’s expressed needs and goals.
- Continually works to increase business and technical knowledge.
- Utilizes industry-accepted project management best practices and firm-established project management processes to direct project planning, execution and control.
- Manages the defined project scope to ensure on time delivery of the overall project to the required standard and scope and within the approved budget according to agreed project outcomes.
- Tracks all project costs against the approved total project budget and provides project cost estimates and budget forecasts to leadership covering all project tracks (business & technical).
- Manages the delivery of project artifacts consistent with the project plan and budget.
- Leads and manages the organizational change (communication, training, issue resolution, risk management) related to the projects being managed.
- Ensures the consistency and quality of the project deliverables.
- Takes corrective action to bring any variances back in line with the project plan and utilize strict change control procedures to manage any project changes through Change Orders to account for changes in Scope, Schedule or Budget when and as they occur.
- Identifies project risks, performs risk analysis, risk response planning, and monitors and controls all risks through project completion.
- Escalates unresolved critical issues for decision by stakeholders.
- Measures project progress to be reported to stakeholders and the Project Management Office (PMO).
- Works to independently learn new Microsoft technologies and become certified in a Microsoft related field.
- Follows processes and procedures outlined by the PMO.
- Looks for process improvement opportunities and presents to PMO Manager.
- Possesses the following technical skills:

- At least five years of project management experience with a focus on managing and deploying medium to large scale business projects involving significant software application development & deployment.
- Must have experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Must be comfortable working in a matrix environment. The emphasis is on coordinating and facilitating business functional and technical areas.
- Thorough knowledge of project and software development lifecycle methodology and artifacts.
- Ability to visualize business processes and understand enabling technology solutions for business problems or opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to be productive independently and/or as a team member.
- Professional image and demeanor with the ability to present oneself in a consultative, confident manner.
- Exceptionally strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Office, SharePoint and comfortable with project management tools. Microsoft Project Online (PWA) knowledge is a plus.
- Proven leadership, project management skills and high impact client skills.
- Direct experience with software business requirements and software specification creation with an understanding of software systems & platforms.

Qualifications:
Education, License or Certification:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Technology or related field or equivalent work history in technical field
- Certification in Microsoft products a plus.
- Professional Certification (PMP, CAPM, CSM) is preferred but not required.
Experience:
- 5+ years as a practicing project manager with experience in a consulting background being a significant plus
- 5 – 10 years’ experience with multiple project methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, Sure Step, Hybrids, etc.
- 5 – 10 years’ experience working with external clients.
- 10+ years translating creating Project Plans based on requirements and managing project resource teams.
- Familiarity and practical experience working within a PMO based environment.
- 10+ years’ experience with MSFT Office products (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vizio).
- 5 – 10 years’ experience with MSFT Teams / SharePoint environments.
