Position Summary:

The Client Manager is responsible for addressing business challenges faced by Covenant’s clients and prospects. This role entails developing a comprehensive understanding of the client’s environment, including their business operations, architectural framework, and personnel needs, and fostering relationships with key decision makers. Additionally, this position will assist in defining the scope of solutions, collaborate with a dedicated team to secure business, coordinate with Project Managers to organize the delivery team, and ensure high-quality delivery while closing engagements to achieve client satisfaction. The Client Manager will also be tasked with maintaining and nurturing existing client relationships.
The work location for this role is flexible if approved by Covenant except this position may not be performed remotely from California. US Central time zone is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Grow and maintain strong client relationships and serves to help identify their pain points and business needs. Seeks to understand business strategy, industry, and plans.
- Collaborates with Division and Solution Leads to deliver quality services to clients.
- Develops proposals and negotiates contracts.
- Partners with Project Managers to strategize staff to project teams.
- Continuously monitors performance and delivery of Covenant services.
- Maintains high level of communication with project teams and clients, escalating issues as appropriate and collaborating with internal teams to address client needs in a timely manner.
- Acts as member of the Covenant Business Problem Solving leadership team, contributing to the business plan, pipeline forecast and service offering development.
- Maintains accountability for client satisfaction, backlog for client work, project/engagement profitability and team member satisfaction.
- Collaborates with Marketing department to develop leads and lead sources.
- Works to stay knowledgeable of current Microsoft technologies and the ways business optimize value from those investments.
- Collaborates with Microsoft sales and support teams.
Qualifications:
Education, License or Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent proven work experience
Experience:
- Demonstrated business development, business management and staff leadership skills.
- Demonstrated excellent client communication and engagement management skills with the ability to drive the engagement lifecycle from inception to completion.
- Minimum of 5 years working experience working with Microsoft-based solutions and Microsoft personnel preferred.
- Minimum of 8+ years working experience in consulting client/project management, high-end professional services business development.
